A little bit about photoshoot: what you need to know and how to prepare

Hello, my name is Victoria, I am a professional photographer with more than 9 years` experience. I do my photoshoots in Richmond (South West London, TW10) using professional equipment and premium class camera. I set up my studio in my flat which makes it a more affordable option for the clients, however, the studio is well arranged for boudoir and interior photoshoots and equipped with a variety of backgrounds. In fact, all the photos you see on my website have been taken in my home studio.

During a 1-3 hours photoshoot[1], you will be able to change as many looks as we will be able to do within a period of time defined by selected package. I do my best to create a relaxed atmosphere for my clients though I am focused and make sure that my clients get a bunch of beautiful various photos.

You will find a variety of exclusive outfits in my studio (yes, all outfits are included in the price of photoshoot), which can come super handy for you, as you don’t’ need to invest into new clothes or bring your own unless you want to do so.

Few tips for your photoshoot (although it is not essential)

  • Nail varnish (if you use it) – use ivory/natural colors which will look better on thephotos, as bright and dark-colored nails tend to stand out too much on a soft and delicate pastel picture.
  • Hair. If your hair is straight – it is better to curl itup in big waves, however, do not forget to use strong hair fixing sprays/products as you’ll be posing in lying positions, which could damage your hairstyle. If you are planning to put your hair up, do not forget to bring few hairpins.
  • Makeup. If you are planning to put on your own make-up – please use classic make-up, a bit more vibrant than you would apply on everyday basis. Natural looking foundation, a bit of mascara, natural colored eye shadows – all done! You can use individual false eyelashes if you want to make your eyes stand out(just apply it in the corners of your eyes followed by mascara). If you know a good make-up artist, you trust – it is a good idea to see them prior to the shoot.
  • Makeup and hairstyling are not covered by photoshoot fees and have to be purchased separately. If you are looking for makeup and haircut professionals, I am happy to share the contacts of brilliant ones, who are able to come to your premises and prepare you for the photoshoot.

Don’t forget to take a bottle of water and snacks – photoshoot can be physically draining and may make you hungry.
